The Bergamot is an American indie rock band composed of Nathaniel Paul Hoff and Jillian Speece. The duo met in South Bend, Indiana, at Marian High School, where they began their musical journey together. On October 20, 2017, The Bergamot released their dreamy anthem “P.D.R.” under Both Records LLC. This single catapulted their career, leading to their discovery by renowned producer Matt Wiggins (known for his work with Adele, U2, and Glass Animals) and earning them critical acclaim. People magazine dubbed them “the hottest emerging music talent,” while the Daily Mirror praised their “gorgeous sound.”

This spring, The Bergamot unveiled their documentary “State of the Unity,” which received immediate critical praise. The film and band were honored with the prestigious Marion Herrman Excellence in Filmmaking Award at the Sedona International Film Festival and won “Best Documentary” at the Art Film Awards. Additionally, the documentary was an Official Selection at the Richmond International Film Festival, the Paris Independent Film Festival, and Atlanta Docufest.
