I would like to introduce to you the band Blues Corner founded by Phil Roman and Seb Oroval. The story of the band begins in 2020. Phil Roman comes with a serious background: years in the British music industry and international experience to match. Now the duo has released their second album ‘All That We Are’ consisting of 16 tracks, which established the duo as a serious voice on the European blues scene.

The recording took place at La Battamobile studio under the production of Bruno Dandrimont. Stars of the genre joined the project, guitarist Fred Chapellier, a legend of French blues, Marco Cinelli from Les Cinelli Brothers, and the living slide guitar legend Sonny Landreth.

Fire, Pressure, Dream

Such a lineup speaks for itself. The album consists of sixteen tracks and covers three directions: classic blues in the tradition of the Mississippi Delta, country blues and Americana with wide horizons and road romance, and blues rock in the spirit of modern Texas. Blues Corner speak three languages of one genre at the same time, and they have enough skill to make none of them sound out of place. ‘Living My Life’ is a soft rock blues with a country wave that will appeal to all lovers of high-quality sound. ‘Set Me Free’ and ‘Stone in My Shoe’ keep that energy, adding rock power and fire. ‘Train Passing By’ and ‘Leaving for Real’ smell of dust and gasoline, while ‘Piggy Bank Blues’ is one of the main moments of the record, a tough and personal conversation about pressure, survival and the price of a dream. The finale ‘The Blues Is About Giving All What We Are’ closes the release with an atmosphere of revelation.

Phil Roman and Seb Oroval create music based on their own experience, which is why Blues Corner are one of the most convincing voices of European blues. Highly recommended for listening!
