Italian musician, guitarist and composer Richard Green has presented his new single ‘Sad but Beautiful’. This release became part of a large-scale neoclassical trilogy ‘A Journey’, uniting three interconnected EPs. Based in Milan and with eleven years of life in London and a music degree behind him, Green has long established himself as an artist who creates music ranging from electronic experiments to full-fledged neoclassical experiments.
Neoclassical, Melancholic, Meditative
-PurpleMistress
In ‘Sad but Beautiful’, Richard Green speaks about how life is beautiful but inevitably touched by sadness, and that this is ‘a law of nature.’ However, in ‘Sad but Beautiful’ you will hear a calm, almost meditative acceptance of the duality of existence at the intersection of classical music, pop and blues. The dynamics in the track captivate with their unhurried unfolding, as if giving the listener time to reflect on each transition. I love this feeling of grippingness in ‘Sad but Beautiful’, as if Richard Green is speaking to the soul itself. Highly recommended!
