Kinshasa-born singer Tatiana Kruz began her career alongside Congolese musician Le Karmapa before releasing her solo album Target and the 2024 EP Piñata. Her work draws on Congolese musical traditions as well as pop, and “Son Ex” brings that range to a familiar, sharply focused subject.
